Trainee Marine Engineer Shipping Corporation Of India

Job or Vacancy Description:
Applications are invited from Unmarried Male and Female Graduates In Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical & Automation Engineering for Recruitment as Trainee Marine Engineer (TME). Qualification : A degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical & Automation Engineering from AICTE Approved Engineering college.
Age not exceeding 28 years as on 01/01/2014. Age relaxation of five years for SC /ST candidates will be given as per Govt. Two years age relaxation will be given to women candidates.
Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates will be required to appear in the All India written Test at their own expenses and only candidates qualifying in the written test will be called for Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:3
(3 candidates called against 1 vacancy) keeping the provision of reservation for SC/ST/OBC & OBC Minority in view. The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. reserves the right to shortlist the candidates for written test also.
Application Fee : A Demands draft of Rs. 1000/- for General / OBC Category and Rs. 500/- for SC / ST Category  to be deposited in SBI.

It is mandatory that the candidates should have a valid e-mail id and mobile number while applying through the online application system in order to facilitate faster communication henceforth. General Instructions:
1. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the post of Trainee Marine Engineer.
2. Candidate has to apply only through online application mode.
3. If any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or incorrect or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria, then his / her candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process or after recruitment or joining.
4. No modifications are allowed after submission of the online application form. If any tampering is done with the Pdf application sheet generated and if any discrepancies are found between the online data filled by the candidate and the application sheet submitted, the application will be rejected.
5. Candidature is also liable to be rejected if the application sheet along with the relevant enclosures is not received, received unsigned, received without self attested photo, received without Original counter slip/receipt of bank for fees deposit as of applicable amount, not received through ordinary post or received after the last date of receipt of applications.
6. Candidates employed with Government departments / PSUs / Autonomous bodies have to produce NOC at the time of interview if called for the same. If such candidates cannot provide the NOC, they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
7. The Shipping Corporation of India ltd .reserves the right to change the number of vacancies and cancel / restrict / modify / alter the recruitment process, if required, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof.
